Petite Poetry

I gave my heart and soul,

I learned my twists and turns,

I gave my all,

I loved the game,

But in the end I lost.

You went in on flimsy whim,

You leap and smiled on cue,

You got bored,

You just loved the boys,

But in the end you won.

What did I do wrong,

Did I go in on the wrong reasons,

Was my best not good enough,

Was my love too weak,

In the end I lost,

In the end you won,

In the end I wasn’t the best,

In the end I lost
