Petite Poetry

A tear falls as I walk through a dismal hall,

A name, A fight, horrible enough to tear two friends apart,

I watch you and I wait,

What will you say?

Will you pass me by on the note of nonexistence?

Or will you say “hello” as if nothing ever happened?

Can we ever go back to the way it used to be?

Will you ever forgive me?

Will I ever forgive you?

Have all the things we’ve done together been a waste of time?

I love you more than it seems,

I may fight and mock and tear you down,

But my heart just laughs,

And my eyes twinkle,

And I see you smile in return,

What was so different about this one time,

To take the teasing from our hearts?

You come closer,

And I know what will happen;

Forever has ended, for we are friends no more.
